The worlds the Veyaweer make

Aether Worlds

Green-lit skies under purple clouds. No Aether World is born; every one is made.

From orbit an Aether World is unmistakable: its atmosphere glows green, and across it drift clouds of a deep, distinct purple. The two colours never mix.

Not born, but made

No Aether World forms naturally, and none will ever be found unclaimed. Each one is a planet the Veyaweer Eternal Empire has transformed, slowly and deliberately, into the environment it needs.

The Veyaweer begin on one. Every further colony must first undergo the same transformation, and that pace is the empire's great constraint: it spreads slowly, but what it holds, it holds completely.

The Aether Forge

At the heart of a living Aether World stands its Aether Forge. It sustains the world's transformed environment and, over time, produces Aether Cores. A world whose Forge falls silent does not remain an Aether World for long. Veyaweer ships cannot repair their own hulls in the field; a damaged ship must return to a friendly Aether World with an active Forge to be made whole.

The Veyaweer Eternal Empire is in development and there are no in-engine images of it yet; the art on this page is a placeholder. Details may change.
