A Solar Dominion Battleship under fire, rendered in the game

The game

Grand strategy at fleet scale

Settle worlds, build the industry to feed a navy, and fight for every system in real time. The Stars We Claim is about the whole war: the economy behind the guns as much as the battle itself.

A Dominion battle line over its home world

01 · The map

Whole star systems, always in motion

Each player starts on one world in a home system of their own. Planets follow slow, real orbits around their star; every world, moon and belt sits in its own gravity well.

Ships phase-jump from well to well inside a system and cross hyperlanes between the stars. One continuous camera takes you from the galaxy to a single turret, and you can give orders at any zoom.

02 · The fleet

Combined arms, not a blob

Corvettes, frigates, cruisers, carriers and capital ships each have a job. Screens catch missiles and strike craft; artillery and missile ships hang back at the edge of their reach; a Battleship can challenge the line and draw the enemy's fire onto itself.

Shots travel and can miss. Missiles can be shot down. Turrets have firing arcs, ships have facing, and veterans earn promotions that make them fight harder.

03 · The worlds

Planets are places, not hit points

Develop a world and it repays you with population, industry and defences: shields, orbital guns and interceptors. Conquest means taking it, not cracking it open.

The fight for a planet comes in layers: win orbital control, bombard the surface, then land the assault. Win by taking the enemy's capital world, or every last one of their planets.

04 · The economy

Territory feeds the fleet

Three materials and money: Metals, Crystals, Gas and Credits. Harvesters cut ore from asteroids and draw Gas from giants; freighters run trade between your stations, if raiders let them.

There is no hard fleet cap. Each faction has its own limit on what it can sustain: for the Solar Dominion that is Supply, drawn from its settled worlds. Build past it and morale starts to slide. Grow your territory, or pay the price.

05 · The threat

Marauders at every free world

Nomadic warbands raid, scavenge and move on. They guard every unclaimed world, hit isolated ships and undefended stations, and when a warlord rises, the clans gather into a horde.
